Life is a Gift!

Spring is here! Hummingbirds and allergies are in full force! Pollen is all over the place, flowers are blooming and the weather at home has been amazing!

My Peggy Martin roses are blooming! They are gorgeous! 🌸

I have been struggling lately. Struggling to share my heart, my words and blogs. I haven't wanted to write because life is chaotic, busy and overwhelming. I knew God put things on my heart that needed to be shared.

We had a crazy and expensive March!

1. Puppydog decided to move both of our ac units off the concrete pads, bite through tubing while bending metal piping...all to try and catch a rabbit. He was unsuccessful!

2. Our tankless water heater needed to be replaced. After 2 plumbers...wrong parts delivered...heating water on the stove like Little House on the Prairie for almost a month... WE HAVE HOT WATER AGAIN!

3. The Pauline Fire that had us evacuate our home!

LIFE IS A GIFT!

Thank you PuppyDog!

Little House on the Prairie meets the Siemssens

Pauline Fire in San Jacinto & Montgomery Counties.

This was directly across from our property. 2,400 acres and 1 house were burned. Luckily, everyone was safe! The firefighters and first responders were amazing!

The night we had to evacuate!

On March 19th, Ronnie and I had a mandatory evacuation from our home due to the fire so close to our property. When the alert came through it was scary. All the things race through your mind...panic, uncertainty and grabbing things that are important.  We loaded up the trucks, dogs and headed to mom's. One of our neighbors stayed and updated us on the conditions. The next day, we received news that the fires were contained, the evacuation had been lifted and we could come home.

Even though we heard things were ok, the fear of the unknown was still consuming our every thought. So...let's get real...who else struggles with not worrying and giving it all to God. Waiting for Gods timing is not easy; even though his plan is better than anything we could imagine. We often think he is not listening to us because nothing is happening.

Well friends...Gods timing is worth the wait because he is teaching, renewing and refreshing us to take on every second until he comes to take us home!

We were so incredibly thankful to God for keeping everyone safe and my amazing mom who continues to do things for us!

Not having HOT WATER was an inconvenience, but driving into our driveway and loving on my ducks changed my PERSPECTIVE!

Enjoying a cerveza on a beautiful Spring day with my love! Thankful for all we have!

Wait for the Lord, be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. -Psalm 27:14
